Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted with Sh. Narudhoo Harbour Upgrading Project.
The project was contracted to MTCC at a ceremony held at Planning Ministry on Thursday. The agreement was signed by Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Zeeniya Ahmed and MTCC CEO Adam Azim.
MTCC stated that the company will develop a T-Jetty to double the size of the harbour to 786ft upon completion of upgrades.
Scope of work for the project include construction of a 371m breakwater, a 205m revetment, a 210m quay wall, installation of harbour lights and a ramp.
The project is valued at MVR 43.8 million.
