The Maldives Police Services (MPS) have conducted a student outreach program to mark DNA Day 2022.

The student outreach program was conducted by the forensic department at Iskandhar Koshi on Monday. The Program was officiated by the State Minister of Education, Fathimath Naseer.

This is the first such program carried out by MPS and Education Ministry to mark DNA Day.

The program was conducted with 150 students from 7th grade from different schools in Male'. As part of the program, students were given information on forensics, with different stalls designed accordingly. As such, students also received information on the DNA laboratory and some of their work in MPS.

Students received a certification of participation at the end of the program.

DNA Day is celebrated on the 25th of April. MPS plans to conduct various activities to celebrate DNA Day in the future.
