European Aviation School of Barcelona (EAS) has obtained approval from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Maldives to train pilots.

EAS Barcelona is the first aviation school to obtain approval for pilot training, making it the only school that will provide EAS and Maldivian pilot license.

Speaking to 'One' on Friday, EAS official stated that their main purpose is to allow Addu Flying School students to complete their pilot training with ease. As such, students can continue their studies with EAS where they have left off, allowing students to complete their studies faster.

Students who complete their pilot training with EAS Barcelona will receive pilot license from both Maldives and Europe.

Currently six Maldivian students are completing their pilot training with EAS Barcelona.

EAS Barcelona has also made a request to the Maldivian authorities to allow student loan options to aviation students to complete their pilot trainings with EAS, the official said.
