The Maldivian government signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday with the Singaporean government, designed to boost cooperation in transport sector.
The MoU on Transport Cooperation and the MoU on Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation was signed by Maldivian Transport Minister Aishath Nahula and Singaporean Transport Minister and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations S. Iswaran on Tuesday afternoon.
Transport Ministry revealed that under the MoUs, Maldives and Singapore will strengthen cooperation in the area of transport, including aviation-related training, maritime technical assistance, road and traffic management, and aircraft accident and incident investigation.
The second agreement was on investigations into aviation accidents and incidents, according to the Ministry.
