410 people recovered from COVID-19, total recoveries past 158,644

Another 540 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 410 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 158,644 with another 14,383 people still in treatment including 9 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 26 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 225 from the atolls, 14 from the resorts.

There have been 297 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 278 locals, 19 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
