Another 702 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 702 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 150,436 with another 14,988 people still in treatment including 23 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 79 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 497 from the atolls, 48 from the resorts.
There have been 292 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 273 locals, 19 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
