Another 1,132 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,132 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 146,161 with another 15,706 people still in treatment including 26 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 146 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 792 from the atolls, 59 from the resorts.

There have been 289 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 270 locals, 19 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
