The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 160,076 after another 1,015 people have tested positive.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 182 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 728 from the atolls, 44 from the resorts.
In the same time frame, 1,107 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 143,956 with another 15,818 people still in treatment including 29 people in hospitals.
There have been 289 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 270 locals, 19 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
