Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC has said that the harbor development project at Kaafu Atoll Girifushi is moving forward at speed.

Taking to Twitter this morning, MTCC said that the second shipment of the rock boulders required for the breakwater construction has been delivered to the project. And the bed preparation for the outer sea wall construction.

The project was mobilized on 7 February 2022.

The project entails a 268 meters of outer sea wall and 46-meter port entry area.

The project was contracted to MTCC by the Maldives National Defence Force 7MNDF) for 18.3 million to be completed within 145 days.
