Another 1,292 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 139,409.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,292 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 139,409 with another 16,208 people still in treatment including 60 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 307 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 891 from the atolls and 69 from the resorts.
There have been 287 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 270 locals, 18 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
