Another 1,368 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 138,117.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,368 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 138,117 with another 16,095 people still in treatment including 60 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 338 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 549 from the atolls and 77 from the resorts.

There have been 286 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 269 locals, 18 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
