The Tourism Upbeat Talk Show series being held as part of the Golden Jubilee year of Maldivian Tourism is set to start on 17 February.
The opening session of the series is set to feature panelists that are pioneers in the tourism industry that consists of the Chairman of MATI, Mohamed Umaru Manik, Ministry of Health, Ahmed Naseem, Vice Chairman of MATI, Hussain Afeef, and George Corbin from Italy. They are set to talk on how the Maldivian tourism start and changes observed today.
George Corbin brought a tour group to the Maldives for the first time on 16 February 1972.
The talk show being held at the auditorium of the Maldives National University (MNU) at 4 p.m. is being hosted by the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom with a live, nationwide broadcast. Although it is aimed for school and university students, members of the general public are welcomed to join as well.
To take part in the show, interested participants are put on a virtual queue for the auditorium.
