Ministry of Higher Education has opened applications for 720 slots under their student loan scheme for individuals to pursue higher studies within and outside of Maldives.

Applications for the loan scheme were opened following a press conference held by the Ministry on Monday. During the press conference, Minister Dr. Ibrahim Hassan revealed that applications for the loan scheme are open until March 3rd.

As per the Minister, 417 slots are allocated for new students with 303 slots being allocated for ongoing students.

In addition to this, slots will also be available to pursue Master's Degrees' in the Maldives this year.

The Minister noted that loans will be available to pursue studies from MNQF level 5 till MNQF Level 10 along with obtaining certain licenses. He also highlighted that same as previous years, opportunities are also there for economically disadvantaged students as well as students with disabilities.
