President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the government will prioritize providing basic services to the islands that are lacking them as of now.

The President said this while meeting with members of Vaavu Atoll Rakeedhoo Council today.

In the meeting held this afternoon at the President's Office, the President said that the government will remain steadfast in providing services to Maldivians that are currently lacking.

The Council imparted information on services needed and required by the people of the island to President Solih during the meeting today.

As such, the Council highlighted challenges in the education and health systems as well as travel and transportation difficulties faced by the people of the island.
