The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 281 after another person has passed away.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that at 03:35pm a 80-year-old Maldivian female admitted at HMF has passed away

This is the 281st COVID-19 death in the Maldives

With this most recent death today, a total of 262 locals and 19 foreigners has passed away so far. The highest reported COVID deaths on a single day in the Maldives has been on 25 May 2021 where 13 deaths were reported.

The first COVID-related reported in the country was reported on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old local woman.
