Another 2,140 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 127,330.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 2,140 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 127,330 with another 17,413 people still in treatment including 60 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 748 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 698 from the atolls and 65 from the resorts.
There have been 280 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 262 locals, 18 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
