The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will make an official visit to the Maldives from 28 – 30 January 2022, on the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid.

During this visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu will pay a courtesy call on the President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Speaker of the People’s Majlis, President Mohamed Nasheed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu will also hold official talks with his counterpart Minister Shahid and sign a number of key agreements between Maldives and Türkiye.

This visit will mark the first-ever official visit to the Maldives by a Turkish Foreign Minister.
