Kulhudhuffushi Regional Port Redevelopment Project in Haa Dhaalu Atoll and the second phase of the Thinadhoo Regional Port Development Project in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll has been contracted to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
At a special ceremony held at the MTCC head office this morning, the agreements were signed on behalf of the Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) by the CEO Shahid Ali and the Chief Engineer Adam Mohamed while the MTCC was represented by the CEO Adam Azim and the COO, Shahid Hassan Moosa.
MPL said that Kulhudhuffushi Regional Port Redevelopment Project entails dredging the harbor, a new inner sea wall, revetment, port lights, an administrative building, a workshop building and doing an environmental impact analysis.
The second phase of the Thinadhoo Regional Port Development Project include the development of the port administration building, guard house, warehouse and workshop development along with the installation of port lights.
Kulhudhuffushi Port Redevelopment Project is valued at MVR 139 million and contracted to be completed within 495 days while the Thinadhoo Regional Port Development Project is valued at MVR 17.8 million and contracted to be completed within 330 days.
