Another 2,805 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 108,632.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 2,805 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 108,632 another 16,673 people still in treatment including 57 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 1,273 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 974 from the atolls and 114 from the resorts.

There have been 272 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 256 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
