Another 1,663 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 105,827.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,663 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 105,827 another 16,666 people still in treatment including 57 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 1,427 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 783 from the atolls and 109 from the resorts.
There have been 271 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 255 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
