Another 1,622 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 104,164.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,622 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 104,164 another 15,721 people still in treatment including 52 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 1,420 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 761 from the atolls and 94 from the resorts.
There have been 270 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 254 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
