While there have been a shortage of teachers at Arabiya School, two Ministers of the Cabinet of the Maldivian government has traveled to Egypt to seek a solution.

The Minister's include, the Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali as well as Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahir. The Chief of Staff at the President's Office, Ali Zahir also accompanied the two Ministers on this visit.

The Maldivian delegation had met with Egyptian Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Mohammad Mukhtar Juma as well as the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Shawki Ibrahim Abdel-Karim Allam.

While Arabiyya School is the only institution in Maldives that teaches in Arabic medium, parents have been complaining regarding lack of teachers since teaching had begun.
