Another 849 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 101,660.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 849 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 101,660 another 13,035 people still in treatment including 48 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 1,325 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 681 from the atolls and 54 from the resorts.

There have been 269 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 253 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
