A man who threatened to bomb the President's Office has been arrested.

Maldives Police Service said that a man approached the MNDF officers on duty guarding the President's Office on 19 January 2022 ordering them to bring out the leaders inside and threatening to bomb the President's Office.

And so, the 34-year-old local man was arrested yesterday with a court order and an investigation is underway.

Police did not release any information on the man in custody.

Police said that the man was taken to the Hulhumale' Magistrate Court for a decision on the remand and the court ordered him to be detained for seven days at a location decided by the Home Ministry.
