Another 1,232 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 100,112.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,232 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 100,112 another 10,537 people still in treatment including 43 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 1,348 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 531 from the atolls and 83 from the resorts.

There have been 269 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 253 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
