Another 508 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 98,238.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 508 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 98,238 another 8,079 people still in treatment including 40 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 857 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 438 from the atolls and 115 from the resorts.
There have been 265 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 248 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
