The Maldivian government has condemned the drone attack on Abu Dhabi, UAE, yesterday.

The drone attack on three oil tankers killed three people and injured eight others. Houthi insurgency in Yemen has taken responsibility for the attack.

A statement issued by the government last night condemning the attack said that a terrorist attack on a civil infrastructure is a violation of international laws and a cowardly act that threatens the general public and travelers.

Supporting the efforts of the UAE against the threats on the country, the Maldivian government praised the UAE for their work towards regional stability.

The Maldives also reiterated it's commitment to the global anti-terrorism efforts.
