Nominations have been opened for the annual Rehendhi Award present by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services.

Rehendhi Awards is an annual award presented to women and men and organizations since 2014 that play key roles in national development and the empowerment of women.

While nominations can be made on behalf of another or oneself and nominations can be made by offices, companies and women's development committees, the Gender Ministry has announced that the nominations close on 10 February 2022.

Regulations and qualifying conditions are available at the Ministry's website and the nomination forms are available from the Ministry and the Family and Children's Services Centers in the atolls.

The Gender Ministry said that forms are being accepted via email during workdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Last year saw 13 winners of the Rehendhi Award.
