A police officer has been arrested along with a group suspected of being involved in human trafficking.

Police Media Officer told ONE Online today that four people were arrested on 5 January 2022 in connection human trafficking including people between the ages of 28 and 65.

The Media Officer said that those in custody include a police officer and with a criminal investigation ongoing, the officer in question has been suspended without pay.

During their remand hearing, the Criminal Court has remanded twomof them to 15 days and the other two to ten days in police custody.

ONE Online has learned that this case is related to bringing a a woman from Philippines for prostitution.
