Another 173 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 94,264.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 173people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 94,264 another 3,511 people still in treatment including 18 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 153 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 102 from the atolls and 117 from the resorts.

There have been 264 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 247 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
