MNDF has said that the young man who went missing this morning after going to catch octopus near Kaafu Atoll Gulhifalhu is still missing.

The 21-year-old Sureh Hassan (H.Dh. Kumundhoo) was reported missing this morning at 8:58 a.m.

Tonight, MNDF said that Coast Guard divers has search an area of 55,000 square feet as part of the search efforts and another 36,000 square meters have been searching by snorkeling.

MNDF said that the missing man was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts.
