The total number of COVID-19 related to the Maldives has risen to 261 after another person has passed away.

A Customer Relation Officer at the Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in GDh. Thinadhoo revealed to One Online that a patient being treated at their Covid Facility had passed away last night at 10:50pm. They noted that the patient is a 66 year old male, who passed away on the 10th day of treatment.

This is the 261st COVID-19 death in the Maldives

The most recent death today raises the tally to 244 locals and 17 foreigners. The highest reported COVID deaths on a single day in the Maldives has been on 25 May 2021 where 13 deaths were reported.

The counter reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020 while the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths on a single day was reported on 25 May 2021 with 13 deaths.
