Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid, has met with Dr. Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Hajj in Makkah, Minister Shahid expressed gratitude to the leadership and Government of Saudi Arabia for their valuable contribution to the Muslim Ummah on the arrangements relating to Hajj and Umrah services.

Both Ministers discussed issues relating to Maldivians performing Hajj and Umrah and explored ways to improve the services.

Minister Shahid was accompanied by the Secretary, Policy of the President’s Office, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Shiaan, and other officials of the Ministry and the Maldivian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
