Another 140 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 140 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 91,713 with another 1,972 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 28 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 49 from the atolls and 16 from the resorts.
There have been 259 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 242 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
