Maldives Police Service has revealed that they have arrested two more individuals in connection to the 119 kg drug bust that took place in Male’ and Hulhumale' City.

Police noted that a 51 year old male along with a 25 year old and 29 year old male has been arrested during a counter-narcotics operation conducted in Male' and Hulhumale' between December 12th and December 15th. All of them are Maldivians.

During this operation, Police had searched three houses in Male’, one house in Hulhumale’, a private car and three cycles in addition to the taxi the drugs were initially discovered from.

Police added that while the 51 year old and the 25 year old was given a remand period of 15 days, the 29 year old was initially given a remand period of 1 day. However upon being presented to court on a second time, he was given a remand period of 14 days.
