Company involved in case of corruption at MMPRC, SOF Pvt. Ltd has been revealed to have released funds to various senior officials. The names include, Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof, President of Football Association Maldives Bassam Adeel Jaleel and MP for Vilufushi constituency Riyaz Rasheed.

The names were revealed with a report published by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on corruption at Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

It is yet unclear whether the funds transferred by SOF Pvt Ltd to these officials were part of the corruption or not.

Apart from the names previously mentioned, Deputy Spokesperson of Parliament and MP for Hulhuhenveyru Constituency, Moosa Manik (Reeko), has also been shown to have affiliations with SOF. Additionally, Redwave Pvt. Ltd is also said to have received funds from the company. State Minister at Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure, Akram Kamaaluddin, and MP for Eydhafushi constituency, Ahmed Saleem, are both shareholders of Redwave Pvt. Ltd.

The report has also revealed that the Managing director of Food and Hospitality Asia - Maldives  (FHAM), Amir Mansoor, had also received funds from SOF Pvt. Ltd.

The report has shown that funds had been transferred by with SOF Pvt. Ltd. to various other big names, consisting of companies, senior officials and individuals have been shown to have associations with SOF Pvt. Ltd.

The report has shown that USD 30,000 was transferred to the account of current Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof. MP Riyaz Rasheed received USD 424,255 , while FAM President, Bassam, received USD 29,000.

The report showed that Deputy Spokesperson of Parliament and MP for Hulhuhenveyru Constituency, Moosa Manik (Reeko), received USD 100,000. Additionally, State Minister at Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure, Akram Kamaaluddin, received USD 30,000 while Red wave Pvt. Ltd received a total of USD 1,519,000 from SOF Pvt. Ltd.

Managing director of Food and Hospitality Asia - Maldives  (FHAM), Amir Mansoor, had received USD 30,000.
