85 people recovered from COVID-19, total recoveries past 90,861

Another 85 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 85 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 90,861 with another 1,933 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 20 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 188 from the atolls and 10 from the resorts.

There have been 257 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 240 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
