The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 92,754 after another 125 people have tested positive in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 23 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 93 from the atolls and 07 from the resorts.
In the same time frame, 140 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 90,625 with another 1,861 people still in treatment.
There have been 255 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 238 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
