Member of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Ali Ashraf has resigned from his position.

An official from the ACC has confirmed the resignation to ONE Online today.

Ashraf has resigned at a time where the Parliament Committee for Independent Institutes had made a decision remove him from the ACC after a performance audit following the inquiry into ACC being slow at investigating cases.

ACC regulations state that if a member wants to resign, they would have to send a letter to the President announcing the resignation. And the resignation is finalized when the President receives the letter.
