Fly Lankan Asia, Sri Lanka's newest budget airline is preparing to commence flights to the Maldives.
Maldives will be one of the first destinations that the new international budget airline will fly to. Local reports from Sri Lanka revealed that the CEO of the airline, Dr. Arosha Fernando has noted that they will be operating as a Regional Operator limited to countries such as Dubai, Maldives, India, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Indonesia both passenger and cargo.
"We are hoping to commence the operation before the end of the year, and we will fly out of Katunayake, Mattala as well as Ratmalana," he said.
Meanwhile, the airline’s CEO Dr. Arosha Fernando affirms cheaper fare prices from the carrier. In addition to this, Dr. Fernando comments they aim to bring in fresh competitiveness to air-cargo segment as well as improve overall services of the aviation industry.
Fly Lankan Asia is Sri Lanka’s third international airline alongside Sri Lankan airlines and FitsAir.
