119 people recovered from COVID-19, total recoveries to 88,434

Another 119 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 119 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 88,434 with another 2,030 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 25 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 81 from the atolls and 8 from the resorts raising the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 90,725.

There have been 248 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 231 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
