Another 154 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 154 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 87,538with another 2,201 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 19 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 124 from the atolls and 16 from the resorts raising the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 89,999.
There have been 247 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 229 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
