Maldivian state insurance company, Aasandha, has signed agreements with the Indian government adding two more Indian hospitals to the list of hospitals accepting Aasandha insurance.

The two hospitals that were added to the list are Dr. Rela Institute & Medical Centre in Chennai and Rainbow Children's Medicare Hospital.

Aasandha said that the agreement with Dr. Rela Institute was signed on Wednesday while the agreement with the children's hospital was signed last month on the 17th.

Maldivians can currently get medical treatment at 45 foreign hospitals under Aasandha.

The government spends a lot on the state funded insurance company that saw an annual budget of MVR 717 million last year and a proposed budget of MVR 731 for next year.

Aasandha Company said that they are always working to increase the number of hospitals that accept their insurance.
