Maldives Meteorological Service has said that the weather in Maldives is expected to get worse for the next three days.

The Met Office said that due to the two low-pressure systems in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, the wind in the Maldivian areas are expected to be strengthened during the next three days.

"Therefore, all, especially seafarers are advised to be cautious of the weather and ensure safety precautions." The Met Office said.

Due to the two low-pressure systems, both India and Sri Lanka are being affected by rain. Sri Lankan authorities issued a Red Weather Alert to the capital, Colombo, yesterday.
