One person has been injured after a gas cannister exploded inside a residential house in Male' City.

MNDF said that the Fire and Rescue Service is at the scene of the incident on the first floor of Olhuhaage in the Maafannu District.

The official from the MNDF said that one person was injured in the incident with burns and has been taken to a hospital for treatment.
