Women in Management Maldives signs with partners of “Run with Us 2019”.
The organization held a special signing with partners of “Run with Us 2019” at Unima Grand yesterday. The all women obstacle run is set to be held 1 March 2019 in Hulhumale’.
Chief guest at the signing for “Run with Us 2019” was Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Shidhatha Shareef.
Women in Management noted the valuable support of Ministries of the government and various other institutions. As such, WIM informed that the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation as well as the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has endorsed the run.
The Platinum sponsor of WIM’s “Run with Us 2019” is Coco Chic. Gold sponsors of the run include VB Brothers. WIM reported that the Silver sponsor this year is Life Support and Hemas.
While the hosting partner of “Run with Us 2019” is the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Medical Partner is ADK Hospital. Wellness Center by Nishy has been chosen as the official Wellness Partner of this year’s run. Additionally, Print Lab is the printing partner.
The Maldives Girl Guide Association as well as Unima Grand has been chosen as supporting partners for the “Run with Us 2019” event.
Women in Management took note of the support from Maldives Police Service as well as Maldives National Defense Force in matters of the event, and thanked the institutions.

Women in Management Maldives celebrated International Women’s Day last year by conducting an obstacle run that was participated by over 5000 women. WIM highlighted the major achievement that this is the largest participation by women in any tun in Maldives to date.
Women in Management Maldives said that, similar to the previous year the run this year will also see a 3.75 kilometers long running course.
The organization reported that runners will overcome an obstacle at every kilometer and that the method of overcoming the obstacles are entirely up to the participant. WIM informed that similar to last year’s run, the obstacles in this year’s course will also be fairly easy to overcome.
Women in Management Maldives have also said that this year’s run will also only be open for women only. The organization also announced that there is no age limit set for this year’s run and that all age groups are welcome.
