Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, Aminath Shauna has said that the Maldivian people now believes that Work From Home is a viable option.
In an interview with ONE Exclusive, Minister Shauna said that when thinking about establishing a work from home system via the internet, one of the most important thing is for people to believe it is something that can be done.
She said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone has learned that work from home is possible and one of the biggest challenge in introducing a new system is changing the mindset of the public, which has now been achieved.
Minister Shauna said that the next step is to work with the experts to bring the technology forth.
"From our office I got a request to allow to work from their native island. That opportunity has been provided." Minister Shauna said.
She said that it is the beginning of a big change. And that the government institutes, leaders and employees all believe it is possible.
