Another 88 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 88 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 85,922 with another 1,524 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 26 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 60 from the atolls and 6 from the resorts. And so the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 86,922.

There has been 240 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 223 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
