Another COVID-19 related death in the Maldives has risen the totals COVID death toll on the country to 240.

ONE Online has learned that the most recently deceased is a 44-year-old local woman who was being treated at the Hulhumale' Facility. She passed away at 3:15 a.m. this morning.

With this recent passing, a total of 223 locals and 17 foreigners have passed away due to COVID-19 in the Maldives.

The highest number of COVID-related deaths so far was reported 25 May 2021 where 13 deaths were reported.
