Education Ministry has said that a member of staff at a school in Male' City has been suspended for sexually assaulting a female student.

ONE Online has learned that the four-year-old student was assaulted by a member of staff when they went to the toilet by a female member of staff.

A statement issued by the Education Ministry last night said that such cases are being investigated as a serious matters and the accused will be suspended until their investigation is completed. The Ministry said that the case has been reported to Maldives Police Service as well.

While the Police is investigating the case, no arrests have been made so far.
